Ron Katz has extensive experience in the areas of Human Resources, Training and Management Development and is the president of Penguin Human Resource Consulting. He is an adjunct instructor at the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Ron was also on the faculty with the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies and the Mercy College Graduate Program in Human Resource Management, where he also served as a member of their Advisory Board.
Ron has provided consulting services in the areas of performance management, interviewing skills, diversity, sexual harassment and disability awareness for a number of clients including some of the largest financial institutions in Europe, Japan and North America. He has reviewed and modified human resource and management systems and delivered training to the human resource staff and line managers of a wide variety of organizations.
Ron is the author of “Recruiting Strategies for Today’s Staffing Trends”, Employee Relations Today, John Wiley & Sons, publishers, and a contributor to WorkForce.com, where his latest article, “Stop Wasting Money on Orientation!” appeared in May 2005. His most recent article, “Positive Confrontation” appeared in Strategic Finance magazine in February 2006. He has also contributed articles on staffing and strategy to Electronic Recruiters exchange. He is an accomplished public speaker and has spoken nationally on Human Resource issues. His inspirational presentation style has proven effective with seasoned professionals as well as newcomers to the field.
Ron holds a B.A. degree from Binghamton University. His graduate degree is the Diploma in Human Resource Management from New York University. He volunteers his services leading a Job Support Group for people who are unemployed or in career transition near his home in Westchester County, NY.
