Conrad Taylor – President National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS)

Conrad Taylor, CPC, has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) since 1994 and is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Board. He is the recipient of the 1995 District Director of the Year award from NAPS, as well as the Chairman of the Board award for 1997, 1998 and 2000. He received the NAPS Ethics award in 1995. Conrad received the James H. Pair award in 1996 from the Georgia Association of Personnel Services, the highest award given by GAPS. In 1998, the Georgia Association of Personnel Services honored him with an award named “The Conrad G. Taylor Ethics Award”.
Conrad is President and founder of The Taylor Consulting Group of Banner Elk, North Carolina specializing in staffing firm coaching, to include but not limited to operational assessments; expansion planning; exit strategy, and has served as Vice President with MSI International of Atlanta, Georgia. he spent four years with MSI after their purchase of his company, Professionals Delivering Quality Service (PDQS), a technical full service firm he helped found in 1986 after starting in the industry with MRI in 1984.
Prior to his staffing industry career, Conrad served twenty-two years in the U.S. Navy. (He served as a Master Chief Sonar Technician, Chief Warrant Officer (CWO-3) and retired as a Lieutenant LDO) His highest decorations are the Joint Services Commendation and the Navy Commendation. He is past president of the Georgia Association of Personnel Services and served as an ad hoc committee chair on the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs council, assisting transitioning military personnel to the private sector. He also served as assistant regional director of the Georgia Employers in Support of the Guard and Reserves.
Conrad represented the staffing industry on the Georgia Commissioner of Labor’s special advisory board. He was a founder and served on the board of directors of the Atlanta Year Two Thousand (Y2K) Users Group. Conrad holds a BS in Management with a minor in Computer Science from Columbia College.
