Barry Lawrence – JobFox.com
Barry Lawrence is the spokesperson for JobFox.com. He says”Launched in 2005, Jobfox is now the fastest growing job site on the Internet. We provide what no other job site can – Introductions between highly matched job seeking professionals and employers. Back in 2004, we set out to improve upon the frustrating hit or miss process of finding a job on the traditional job sites. Keyword searching techniques are inefficient and time consuming, making it all too easy to miss the right opportunity. We knew there had to be a better way. We developed our patent pending Mutual Suitability SystemTM to enable us to closely match the wants and needs of job seekers with those of the employer. Through this system, we learn each individual’s unique skills, experience and goals and then present only the jobs that are the right fit. But just making the match isn’t enough. To ensure that qualified seekers and employers connect, we created the Jobfox Intro. We reach out to both parties by e-mail and even call to encourage the connection – no more missed opportunities. Jobfox is the inspiration of Rob McGovern, one of the nation’s foremost career experts. He was the Founder and former Chairman and CEO of CareerBuilder.com, and wrote the popular career advice book Bring Your ‘A’ Game: The 10 Career Secrets of the High Achiever. He and the entire Jobfox team are committed to making the process of finding a job easier.”

JOBFOX is a fraudulent job board. They prey on the unemployed. My name is Henry. I live in Los Angeles, CA. I asked jobfox to cancel my membership within 1/2 hour of receiving their “Welcome” message. They did not acknowledge the cancelation. They proceeded to charge my credit card 4 days later. I tried again repeatedly. They acknowledge my request to cancel but they still drag their feet about the refund. I still don't have a refund after 2 months of trying. No phone number to call. No real person to talk to. Their website is a scam. WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM JOBFOX. Spread this warning around so that others don't fall victim to their practices.

Every day I seem to incur some problem with Jobfox. Following reasons:

I am unable to sign into my account, I am getting a message saying invalid email/password. I have not changed either one of them as they are already saved on your system.

JobFox.com provides generic critiques generated by a computer a money making gimmick. I visited a site called complaints.com and Jobfox is on that site. When reading all the different complaints I can across the same e-mail I received from Ms M Wallace the resume critique word for word. I felt sick as I had already purchased a resume ($399.00). There were lots of people to receive the same critique.

I am unable to use the trackable resume service that was guaranteed to fit the format when I purchased a resume; even when I make the necessary adjustment e.g.

Adjust the top or bottom margins

Reduce the height of spacing between sections

    Remove explicit page breaks

    Reduce the size of headings

I keep getting the same following message that reads:

We are unable to add tracking capability to your resume.
Please make sure it is in one of our supported formats.
If this does not correct the problem, please contact customer service for assistance.

I am no longer receiving any job matches. Also when I do get a message alerts on my cell phone the jobs are not in my apply to matched jobs in box. Even though your site promises:

“Job Alerts 48 Hours before other users .You will receive new job alerts 48 hours before other Jobfox users. This gives you the opportunity to apply for a job and be considered, before the flood of resumes arrives. “

Customer support service is ridiculous, when I send any e-mails with any query it takes 4-6 days before anyone gets back to me if I'm lucky. Considering your site states it is a 24/7 service. What am I paying $19.99 for????

I will be canceling my service with Jobfox, I too think they are a scam.
